Seattle Interior Designer Karen Ellentuck, ASID
Principal of Ellentuck Interiors, Karen Ellentuck is well regarded for her spatial interior design skills and her command of finish materials.
She is regularly hired to lead the remodel of existing spaces, extending from whole house remodels to basement and attic remodels, to master suites and great rooms that include the kitchen, eating and family room areas. She is also regularly hired for her creativity in award-winning bathroom design. Her knowledge of lighting design and a desire to include this as an aspect of the planning has given her clients state of the art lighting in their remodeled spaces.
Over the years, Karen has also used her interior design skills to create numerous custom furnished spaces—selecting fine furniture, fabrics, custom rugs, wall coverings, window treatments and other materials through her access to a multitude of resources, in Seattle, nationally and internationally. Her residential work has included interior design projects ranging from individual rooms to 10,000 square-foot custom homes to multi-family condominiums.
Karen has also been called upon by her residential design clients to work on their business spaces from professional offices to corporate offices, to restaurants and schools.
Karen is a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), having passed the National Qualifying Exam for Interior Designers in October 2002. She is also a member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA). Karen has been a Studio Designer at the Seattle Design Center since 1998.
